... And we're off!
With just one month to go before our second Venice Biennale Tour kicks off, the excitement buzzes through the college. Tonight we met for the last time in Melbourne. Next time we are all together in one place, it will be under the watchful gaze of a pride of stone lions at the Arsenale gates...
For those following our journey, we will be introducing ourselves over the next few weeks.
Our visual journals this year will not be chronological documents, but instead, alphabetised catalogues of our adventure, to reflect the theme of the 55th Venice Biennale:
Il Palazzo Enciclopedico (The Encyclopaedic Palace). We are now busy dividing 64 pages between the 26 letters of the alphabet, in readiness for the challenge.
Before we depart, each participant will post an alphabet initial and their name to our blog, and from here you may get to know our troupe, follow our encyclopaedic adventure, and pretend you're with us, basking in the sunshine, losing yourself in the winding streets, drifting along the Grand Canal, sipping Spritz, absorbing the artistic wonders of the world... where was I?
