Hey Honor!

Thanks for setting this up.  Not sure how much I will be able to use it whilst travelling as I'm hesitate about carrying a laptop all the way os.  Anyway, just experimenting and trying to make comments on  the other posts, but its not so easy.  It seems like you need to have a profile and ID.  Is that correct?  Or am I doing it wrong?  Cheers, Fiona

    Hi Fiona, I'm testing making a comment to your blog. Do you have a google email? It look like you may need that to comment...

    Hi, Fiona -

    yes, there are a couple of idiosyncrasies to this system that I am learning as I go.

    Firstly, it seems you won't be notified about my comment to you: I will. And I didn't find your post until Mandy commented, because the system assumes all blog posters are me! (I don't know how to avert this problem!)

    It seems you need either to set up a profile or have a google account in your name in order to comment, but not to post. I have found that signing up has not resulted in any spam mail or hassling, if you are concerned about that.

    If you are not taking a computer to Venice but would like to post pictures, I am happy to photograph them for you and post them myself. The more contributors, the better!
